Fujitsu Strike Support

Last Friday saw the 59th strike day for workers at Fujitsu Manchester and the end of a 9-day strike. The dispute is over compulsory redundancies, sacking workers who opposed the redundancies, breaches of the redundancy agreement, including appeal and grievance procedures and victimisation of union reps. They’re holding a benefit concert on Friday 13th April, more info HERE.

Wildcat Strike on North Sea Platform

Workers on the Mariner platform  in the North Sea (95 miles north of Shetland) took unofficial strike action at the weekend over “poor working conditions, poor management, possible blacklisting and having an offer of a bonus removed”.
