Facebook cleaners, members of CAIWU (the Cleaners and Allied Independent Workers’ Union) are balloting for strike action over the dismissal of one of their members. The workers are employed by Churchill Group agency which has subjected cleaners to excessive workloads which are causing ill health among staff. Consequently, the cleaners want to be brought in-house.
As the Facebook cleaners go to strike ballot, CAIWU have called two further protests. These are:
Friday 8th October at 4pm: 10 Brock Street, London NW1 3FG
Friday 15th October at 4pm: 1 Rathbone Square, London W1T 1FB
